2017 sens?

The bottom 6 leaves something to be desired imo. That 4th line is a huge L

The 3rd line is great

Not even quite as close . Take off Tkachuk, Chychrun , Sanderson and Stutzle and add EK who carried the team

Third line has two 20+ goal scorers and Greig was on pace for 36 points

Kastelic is super steady and has some of the best faceoff numbers in the league, and Bailey has a career low of 25 points. Admittedly MacEwen isn't the best, but he wont play all 82 and we'll need a fighter when playing certain teams

Kastelic is excellent though but yeah Bailey and MacEwen is not ideal. Wouldn't surprise me if a guy like Smejkal, Crookshank or Sokolov steal a spot from them

Greig and Pinto are still young and inexperienced but will be easily above 3rd line quality. Kubalik is fine but not the greatest ES player. The smart move would be to trade him instead of Joseph but Dorion is not the smartest peanut in the turd.


Scoring has gone up a lot since 2017 and that Sens team played much differently, attention to details and much better defensively. They were a solid team overall.

That said, yes we have accumulated a lot of talent. Have to go back to 2005-06 actually to find as much on a Sens team. Even in 2007, Sens were a 1 line team with Fisher and solid support players
