Nick Bonino a signé un contrat de 4 ans d'une valeur de 16 400 000 $ avec les Predators de Nashville, le 1 juill. 2017. Le contrat comporte un cap hit de 4 100 000 $.
I think this is too much money, wasn't he hurt in the SCF anyways? People say he wont 2 Cups but wasn't he injured by this one? Think the price tag is a bit too high, not sure he can fill the role they want for him. Even if he does he could just get hurt making it a moot point. Nashville might miss the Post Season since teams are better now even Dallas Stars could be back in Playoffs. Kings might make a run, so don't expect another wild card or post season spot especially losing in Final... Rinne is a bit injury prone, expecting him to have a down season like he was in the finals .
It isn't even structured in a way where its easy to buyout the final year or two if those numbers are accurate... This is like when a team wins a Super Bowl, guy has a good game like Brown or so on Cowboys I think had 3 INTs then cashed in never to do well again . They would lose a player to a big contract each time won, whether it was a WR or whatever.
I like Bonino but I can't get behind this money. I guess this is just what the upper echelon of 3rd-line centers is worth now, but man, $4mil plus? Too rich for my blood.
