First trade is lose-lose for both teams I'd say. For Arizona, they have no incentive to trade Crouse who is someone they value as a member of the core, and they already have Hayton, Bjugstad, Cooley, and McBain as competent centers. For Washington, Wilson already fills a similar role to Crouse and he is likely to be buried on the wings which will likely lead to a similar scenario as Mantha last year, while also opening a significant hole at 1/2C as Backstrom does not seem fit for the role anymore. Kuznetsov's NTC probably blocks this anyway though, I'd be surprised if Arizona was not on it.
