Only because they didn't play the Leafs.

I've spoked to Fraser, he admits to seeing Gilmour get hit by Gretzky's high stick in the Game 6, but decided not to call it because of the rules of the Nhl back then meant Wayne would get thrown out of the game for drawing blood, so Fraser called the high stick a follow thru(which was a loophole, even though it clearly was Gretzky trying to lift Gilmour's stick not shoot a puck).

Demers, Roy and the majority of the Hab players were afraid of facing Gilmour/Clark/Burns in the Finals.

The Leafs would have beat the Habs.

The 2 teams were so similar, 1 scoring line, a 3rd line and 2 shutdown 4th lines each.

And an elite defensive minded coach and an all star goalie.

Rubbish. Habs players weren't afraid of the Leafs. LOL

Leafs did get hosed by KF.

Clark was a Nords legend, they traded Clark to get Claude Lemeiuax. Who ended up being one of the key players for the Av's Stanley Cup win.

The Devils got Steve Thomas from NYI in that 3 way trade.
