Nash has no interest in Garland. He blocks the RW pipeline and Rathbone would just get waived. No shot we move Lauzon and pay a second for that

An empty roster spot has more value to Nashville than Garland. Nashville passes every day of the week.

Both Tomasino and Evangelista outpaced Garland production last year at the NHL level during their stint post deadline on what was essentially an AHL team playing in the NHL. Then there is the fact that Garland's contract is 3 more seasons (including this season) and Nashville has Kemell on the AHL who had a very successful start in the AHL last season and will be pressing for NHL time sooner rather than later. Not sure what Wood's plan is with college either but between the other 3 players id just rather not have Garland in their way. Nashville is kindof in a weird spot where they are intentionally trying to keep roster spots open for young players to keep a competitive environment internally for positions.
