Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Line 1: True top line, Line 2: Kid line, Line 3: Torts dream line, Line 4: Bully line. Pairing 1: Two played well together analytically last season, Pairing 2: Hope Staal still has some gas and Sanheim rebounds, Pairing 3: Could be any combo of the 3 of Seeler Zamula Walker but Zamula they want to develop and Seeler is favored by Torts so I think Walker starts on the outside looking in. Same with Allison, outside looking in until injury. Goalies: Hart starter and Ersson back up. If Hart isn’t moved or suspended I think they just bury Peterson in the minors because he was just an insurance plan that also helped them get back some extra picks/prospects in the Provy trade. They could decide to make Ersson the LVP starter for another year and make Peterson the back up to Hart which wouldn’t be a terrible idea either. Just depends on how ready they think Ersson is.

Bit of a hot take, I think Andrae makes it over Zamula, even though Zamula has been in NA longer, he just looks lost at the NHL level, I think torts will like Andrae’s game a lot more, plus Andrae’s been playing with men for awhile, maybe Zamula will end up in NHL later in the season, but I think at first Andrae will beat him out

I don’t think it is a hot take at all actually lol. I actually agree with you. The thing I struggle with is the fact that Zamula is no longer waiver exempt which means they can’t send him down without going on waivers first and I think it’s guaranteed someone would claim him. They could run a 23 man roster but I don’t think it’s ideal for Zamula’s development to sit every game. It really will come down to 1. how much do they trust Andrea to be ready and 2. do they think Zamula will ever be more than a 3rd pairing guy and are they comfortable with trying to pass him through waivers or not

I don't think Zamula is a guarantee waiver claim. He's a 23 year old undrafted dman with 26 games of NHL experience. Even Myers (comparison since both were undrafted) had a lot more NHL experience by this age. You probably don't want to lose him for nothing but at the end of the day it's probably not a player you'll lose sleep over.

I’m more on the side of we are going to suck for another 2 years minimum so why would we take the chance to lose him for nothing when we could use him and play him while the games don’t matter anyway.
