Barabanov is worth a 2nd or 3rd.

Knight is $4.5 M for 3 years and we don't know when/if he will play in the NHL again. If he returns to his former self then the Sharks may have a young franchise goalie, but that's a big if.

How about you give us a 2nd for Barbi and we'll take Knight for free?

This is a horrible trade!
A goalie with mental issues who had a rough season and we’re not sure if he rebounds and is 4.5 mil annually, you have to pay to move him not get a 2nd a solid middle 6 wing and a 4th for him.

Sorry I apologize for having fun on this platform and not doing 3rd and 4th liners for late picks too keep it realistic. I will be better

Thanks for the fun trade proposal. I'm intrigued by the idea of the Sharks being able to pick up a young franchise goalie who is troubled but otherwise would not be available or affordable. High risk, high reward, fun "fantasy" move. I don't think either Blackwood or Kahkonen are the Shark's future #1 when we're done rebuilding, so Knight is an interesting option. But not at your proposed price.

Of course Florida won't trade him now. They'd be selling low with all the uncertainty. The smart move for them would be to hold onto him and see if he recovers and bounces back.

Knight aside, Barabanov is a good player at a great value. Sharks would keep him except his timeline doesn't fit the rebuild. Available for picks or prospects!
