Ceci's a cap dump, and the Canes retaining AND taking a cap dump isn't happening. I also don't think RNH to Teuvo is the biggest upgrade, certainly not worth losing Pesce for. "100 point season" yes, but a complete statistical anomaly.

RNH is a 60 point player. The only reason he hit the century mark this year, was because the PP was converting at over 30%, and McDavid was able to find another gear. His contract isn’t going to age well either.

It’s a rather easy pass for the Canes. RNH for Turbo is a bit of a wash. Turbo when healthy is a consistent 60-70 point guy. RNH just has term on his deal. Ceci is a dump.

Canes do not consider this. Tuevo and RNH are normally both 60 point players, with Teuvo usually edging it. Now, RNH is more valuable because he can play C. Absolutely. But the retention on Teuvo balances it out. Then it's Pesce a 2nd and a 4th for Ceci, which is really funny
