It's definitely not likely. I just made a ACGM team with the scenario of sending away some of the Rangers' vet core and this was born out of a discussion of what SEA would have to get to trade Beniers and what kind of return Zibanejad would have, especially being flipped twice. I don't even necessarily want to trade Zibanejad this is all hypothetical

The Rangers would do it but Seattle wouldn't and Arizona might not either. Zibanajed's NMC trumps everything if doesn't want to go he doesn't go.

Well that's pretty much what I said in the first place. The main difference is I said the Rangers would do it. Cooly is an ok prospect but he's not so good that moving him would be a deal breaker. The 50% retention on Zibanajed's contract would be for the Rangers though... I missed that, I thought it was just Seattle retaining on him at first.

Both Seattle and Arizona are looking and building towards the future, and both are doing it well. Rags roster has warts, this is an attempt to correct some mid roster building, but neither of the target teams should want what the Rags have to offer. Easy declines for both.
