To be honest I'd take a stab at jagr for a year and also sign del zotto to a one year deal too

Jenner is worth more than RNH alone. RNH is an overpaid 3C, whilst Boone is a former 30 goal scorer who had a down year... and you want a 1st round pick too! LMFAO! Get real. RNH isn't worth that kind of return. The ARI trade is just as bad. ARI gives up their 1st, which we all know is going to be high up in the draft, and the rights to Duclair for a very much used Sekera. Lottery protected or not, you're living in a dream world if you think the values are even close to realistic.



Gonna take a lot longer than a year to get that D sorted. Bear is doing well in the WHL as an overager... so what? I doubt he'll have significant impact at the NHL level. PC is clearly building the team in the same way that PIT was built i.e. two absolutely elite Cs who can make even average wingers 30+ goal scorers, a good enough D and a strong netminder. EDM is on the verge of becoming a perennial contender. I don't think anything "needs" to happen to the D for that you come to fruition.

These trades are horriawful. There's no way Sekera would get Anthony Duclair, let alone a first as well. And yeah Boone Jenner is already better than RNH. Also, Draistatl is getting $9 or else someone is offer sheeting him
