first - Tavares is still a ppg player - look to Kopitar contract as a comparable, he's more likely to get 5 mil area with term or 2X7

second - overpay for durzi to aquire, let alone the extension

third - Nylander is not a 10.5 mil player, nor is Marner going to sign for less than 12

Marner gets more, your not giving him a raise at all. 500k more than Willie isn't realistic, there is a much bigger gap in their value.

AZ just traded a early 2nd for him dont see them turning around for a late 1st. AZ has a huge need for PP1 QB and dont have one in pipeline ready so AZ will pass
