If I am Trotz, I think I do this. I think a 2nd is reasonable for Brannstrom, and Trenin / Kubalik is a bit of wash in my eyes.

I tend to agree, but my concern is that Brannstrom will make the logjam at defense worse, especially after NSH just signed Molendyk to his ELC. Not opposed to the deal, considering he can also play right side, but I think it just forces Trotz to make a move now as opposed to later in order to make room for him.

I am not doing this if I am Ottawa. It would have to be Kubalik + Joseph. Make the pick a 3rd instead of a 2nd

Trenin is a good defensive forward but is UFA, like Kubalik, who has more value because there's a significant difference in production

Kubalik should be worth a 2nd, Trenin a 3rd
