The way I see it McCann is Seattle's franchise star I cannot see them moving him for much of anything with the success they have had lead by him.

The value seems alright with players ability and matching pieces, there's a lot of moving parts in that deal a bit convoluted for myself.

AGM's here always undervalue leafs players in trades. ie: McCann > Willy or Brodie for a 5th.

No way that the kraken trade away a 40g guy who makes 5mill for 4 more years for a Nylander rental and a bunch contracts that may never make the nhl

Toronto needs this trade more than Seattle so of course the Toronto side is going to be undervalued. What's worse - Losing Nylander for nothing at the end of the year or at least getting some value back?

SEA would decline this from the beginning. The only really valuable pieces SEA is getting in this is Nylander and the 1st. Timmins and Moldenhauer have potential, but not at the same level as the pick and Nylander nor am I certain that they would even play over who is currently on SEA's roster. That said, SEA wouldn't have the cap to sign Nylander, even if the deal was something like 8x9mil. Trading McCann with retention for what will likely be a late first and a 3rd round pick? No thanks.
