This is a team of notable former NHL players and high draft picks who never got the opportunity to live their dreams. In light of the most recent tragedy involving Rodian Amirov, I wanted to take the time to pay my respects not just to him, but to all those notable players who suddenly lost their lives in surprising and sudden ways at an age under 45. Any players who died before the existence of the NHL Draft must have played at least 5 NHL seasons and must also reside in the Hockey Hall Of Fame. If I know a certain pre-draft era player very well, then I will make an exception. This will also be a 25-man roster, so if I didn’t put a certain player here, just know that it was a painful cut and every player was considered. This does not discredit other players who lost their lives as their passing are no less devastating. RIP to all these players and I hope you’re all living your dreams and winning Hockey championships up in Heaven.
