Remaining cap space allows Edmonton to accrue a hair over $1.285M by the deadline. There's an opportunity to increase that number if Holloway continues his pedestrian production, with Gagner (off a PTO) being the likely call-up.

The whole point to having Desharnais as the #7D is his cap hit. His exposure in the playoffs makes me question his status in the NHL, and I don't think his size or toughness is going to matter when he isn't playing. If Carolina allows Chatfield to shake loose, Edmonton has a stellar opportunity to upgrade on their defensive depth at no additional cap hit.

Berglund, Chiasson, Fanti, and Wanner to start in the ECHL.

I like Durzi as a deadline target and a way to offload Kulak's cap hit. Not opposed to a Debrusk-for-Holloway deal if the Bruins can't overcome the loss of their top-two centers and fall out of the race early. Dowd or Evans for #4C by March.
