Leafs get 2 solid prospects, and a 1st for future moves. And a very solid 3rd line center, yes overpaid but contributes 200ft, pk, and even 2nd pp if needed.

Leafs have zero reason to do this; their window to win is wide open now so no way they’d move Willy for futures. There is no obvious ‘hockey’ trade for Willy out there so I’d say 98% chance he isn’t moved. Leafs will keep negotiating and they’ll end up coming to agreement eventually. And Pageau is seriously overpaid

Problem with that thinking.... if it's TORONTO, there's no reasonable extension he's going to sign. But many other teams (most?, All?) Won't be able to or want to pay him 9M+...with Lou, it's a totally different environment and maybe something " reasonable" could be had. Likely more in the 8.8-9.2M x 7, or MAYBE an identical Horvat deal?
