I mean, if I could think of one team in the league that is set at RD it surely is NYI. Baring any major injury they have Pulock, Dobson and Mayfield, two of which are on 7 years contracts and Dobson is absolutely getting re-signed in a couple of years long term. Value's fine on the trade but there's absolutely no way any of the three above are getting benched for Petry.

Trade is fair value wise, just doesn’t make sense for the caps. If you want Johansen, a late pick is probably all it takes if the caps are looking to get rid of him for any reason.

On top of which, they can't fit him under the cap (even at 50% retained) without sending some additional salary back anyway.
