If Petry is wants to stay. I'd rather move Savard out. Petry even at 35 is more mobile and versatile. He'd be a perfect role model for Guhle Barron & Mailloux.

I'm sure Petry had a talk with the Habs before waiving his no trade clause, 100% the conversation ended with the Habs telling Petry he'd be a Hab till his contract is up.

Who has a spot for him at this point? It would have to be a team like Vancouver or Buffalo looking to take a step. They wouldn't pay much, but I guess those teams could get onboard.

I say we keep Petry & Savard, ease the pressure cooker for our young RD. Move Allen full salary then Price can start the season off LTIR and we can accumulate cap space for the season's upcoming TDL. (Buying out Armia also accomplishes this as it would also create enough cap space)

Basically the saddest guy when this trade happened, was Justin Barron. The happiest was, Jesse Ylonen. Well maybe other than Petry who might be pretty bummed.
