Batherson isn’t confirmed

Kelly probably shouldn't even be on the roster tbh. Certainly pushing a top 15 faceoff C to the wing. I've rooted for Kelly since he showed up at his first Development camp, he's worked hard, but he just doesn't have it at the NHL level. Also Jarventie looked AWESOME in Belleville after the shift to centre, but he's not NHL ready. Better to let him marinate and keep developing him as a centre.

If Batherson is gone, I'd be calling up Pius Suter. They might not be able to afford him, but if Batherson's money is off the books, they could offer him roughly 1mil if they carry only one extra forward. If he's still a UFA this late in the game, it's probably not a great sign for him getting a big contract. Might be wishful thinking, but this is a player Ottawa has had eyes on since before his NHL career began, came to a dev camp or two with Ottawa.
