WC spot or just miss it. Depends if their goalies repeat or regress

We finished 10th in conference.

They were tenth in conference last year, and I don’t see much improvement in this team compared to last year. Some of the other teams around them (Sabres, Ottawa, Wings) should be better through development and the additions made. They still have a reasonably solid team, but their forward group doesn’t really scare anyone. I see around 11-12 in the conference being most likely.

Hey birdbrain... they finished 7th in the conference last year and now have a full year of Horvat, Engvall, No bailey and a healthy Barzal...

3rd or 4th in conference depending on progression from Dobson/Romanov and staying relatively healthy

If they can stay healthy, they finish 2nd or 3rd in the Metro and win at least one round in the playoffs. Dark Horse team to win the Cup, especially if Wahlstrom, Engvall and/or Dobson make big steps forward.

If they continue to be plagued by injury, they sneak into the Wild Card round before being put down without ceremony. Isles would then have to consider beginning the rebuild, and we may see Lou agree to part ways with the organization.

Sorry, meant to say 2 points away from 10th in conference, my apologies. Engvall is a non-mover for me, and Horvat was having a career season that quickly slowed down when going to the Islanders. They have a shot at competing for a wild card, but I don’t expect much more than that.
