They would be better paying a 2nd or 3rd round pick to get rid of his contract than being stuck with 6 years of dead cap hit (as small as it is)

The price of moving Joseph will be unpleasant, but worth it. Being able to offer term to Pinto alone makes it worth it, but avoiding any buyout cap hit is important too. They're a cap ceiling team now, they can't be wasting space.

Second window only opens if 1) a player goes through the arbitration process and 2) the player being bought our has a cap hit above 4 mill AND was on the roster at the TDL.
