Next year as in "next season". If I wanted to make a team for the 24-25 season, I would've changed the season to 24-25. I didn't realize it would be so confusing for some people. Either way, if I have to explain to you why a star winger costs assets to acquire through a trade, regardless of how many years are on their contract, then it would be a waste of my time.
