I’m not gonna cap, I consider myself to be a massive hockey fan and super into prospects (I made a top 225 prospects in the NHL list a few weeks ago) and I’ve somehow never heard of Jackson Blake. His stats look pretty good for a young 2021 draftee. He’s literally like barely a year older than fantilli (legit 14 months) and is on similar pace with him on a worse team. Obviously not saying he’s as good as Fantilli and I wanna watch his film too but he needs to be talked about more. Kinda ridiculous how Carolina just always finds gems out of every puck.

I think letting Skjei and/or Teravainen walk, not signing Deangelo and using that money to get a true top 4 RHD makes more sense. I'm a big fan of Chatfield, but i'm a little skeptical of him being a long term solution for the 2nd pair, he's more of a great 3rd pair guy in my eyes.

Morrow and DeAngelo would be redundant. Keep Pesce for 1RD and move Morrow into DeAngelo spot.

I really don't know how they need to step up their development. Suzuki, Rees, and Pono would be a lot better if we had a better development but the draft team is crazy on how good they are. Blake is a very good young winger and if we can get Morrow, Nikishin, and Blake in one year I will personally run around screaming they are one of the main reasons that our Prospect pool is so good.

Thing is is that Pesce isn't a confort we can afford in 2024-25 unless the cap goes up more than 86,500,000 which is what I think will happen if it does happen then I agree with you if not then We simply can't afford Necas, Jarvis, Pesce, Aho, and Skeji's contracts

Yeah so its a little over the cap in 2024-25 but I made a post where I think I figured out how to do it

1. I'd love to see that top-225 list if it is on here.

2. Blake is legit. He is has been on my recent top prospect lists (mid 2022-23 season, 2022 offseason, mid 2021-22 season). Has gone from #30 to #18 most recently. He had a bit of unusual HS experience, where he wasn't only allowed play one year (between that, COVID, and split season schedule....I think he only had 20-something games). Was underexposed at his draft...was very young for his class. He is Jayson Blake's son...is a phenomenal offensive talent. A guy worth knowing.

This has every popular prospect that every fan knows, but then it gets a little weaker down at the bottom. Like I know there are 100 guys that would go ahead of like Jan Mysak but I put in so much time to this already that I couldnt do every teams top 20 then narrow it down again. Like I didnt put Graeme Clarke because I just forgot him but hed probably be in the low 200s or so too. This was mostly me finding a way to rank teams prospect pools

Also I had bad criteria. I just picked players who I thought didnt establush themselves as full time NHLers yet which is why I have Guenther and others here. They played a lot of NHL but got sent down at some point. Or they were up but didnt play consistently
