Few notes
1. Dach won't be 2RW he will either be 1RW or 2C that's where he provides the most value to the roster.
2. Hoffman won't make the top 6 and likely isn't in the top 9.
3. Andy and Gally are both in the top 9 with Andy 2RW and Gally 3RW.
4. Newhook won't start at center and likely starts in the top 6.
5. Dvorak is not supposed to be healthy for at least a month into the season.
6. RHP is way too high up the lineup for where he is at in his career, he likely starts on the 4th line.
7. Guhle will be paired with Harris on the top pairing and Matheson will get Savard.
8. I think Roy will make the team out of camp but given that he is waiver eligible once Dvo is healthy he is likely sent down.
9. This is huge speculation on my part but here it goes, Price will play this year either at the start of the season or near the end. I think this is the main reason KH is trying to clear cap space and is reluctant to put Price on LTIR to maximize the cap benefits and take on another bad expiring contract for assets. Maybe it's wishful thinking or whatever but Price has been around the team a lot this summer vs last summer and the family has been looking at places near the Bell Centre.
With all of this said here is how I project the lineup to look.
Caufield-Suzuki-Roy
Newhook-Dach-Anderson
Slafkovsky-Monahan-Gallagher
RHP-Evans-Hoffman
Guhle-Harris
Matheson-Savard
Xhekaj-Barron
Montembeault
Allen
(If Price is healthy then Allen will be traded before the season starts)
Dvorak on IR
Scratches
Armia, Kovacevic and Pezzetta
Side note RHP might be on the first line over Roy since he already has good chemistry with Zuke and Caufield.
I don't think management cares too much about increasing players values this year they already said they want to be in the playoff race down the stretch and will maximize the roster utilization to achieve this.
