Neither of the trade offers make any sense for the trade teams. Murry will probably be placed on LTIR by Toronto allowing them some cap flexibility.
Edmonton should not part with all of that draft capitol and honestly Vejmelka is not worth that return. He may be in a year or two, but we need to see what he is after another 100 games or so. He just reached the 100 games played mark which is the first time a team should take stock on a goalie and the potential growth curve in the NHL.
Lines are interesting, Schmaltz back in the middle is an interesting choice. Not sure he can still be a center in the NHL, his transition to the wing has been a major factor in his success over the last couple of years. Hoping that he can have a healthy season. Gunther with Magic could be incredible. Pairing a guy with elite passing skills with a sniper that can beat goalies clean would be fun to watch.
