Give Bergeron league min with easily obtainable bonuses that would just get pushed to next season.

He will still get bonuses, but as we saw last year, he still wants more than league min.

He's at a point where he's trying for one last cup. Does he care if he gets $1.4 million salary + say $4 million in bonuses vs $750k salary + $4.65 million in bonuses? Either way he's getting the same money at the end of the day.

He only hit 60 points last year and missed a fair bit of time with injury, especially at the end of the year. I’m sure he acknowledges that nothing is given and easily attainable bonuses are not certain. Regardless I think that they are gonna try to get Frederic and Swayman as low as possible and whatever is leftover is given to Bergeron. The only reason he isn’t signed is because they need to go first.
