Defense is going to be interesting with potentially 9 guys that are NHLers and the only one that can go down without waivers is the guy who needs to show something the most. I have a feeling that Rosen will be the odd man out and hit waivers where he probably gets claimed (although it's a relatively easy time to pass waivers when all 32 teams are making their cuts). Not saying that is the correct move - Rosen was extremely dependable last yr - but it seems likely.
I think you have the forward group correct. I'd like to see those top 3 guys broken up across the top6 personally but I bet they start out together. Should be a fun season for watching the younger guys - Alexandrov, Bolduc, Dean, etc. - try to break in. If they can get some time during injuries and look the part, could be another profitable selling deadline with rentals like Vrana/Kapanen/Blais. Or if the defense figures it out under Weber, maybe playoffs aren't out of the question.
Overall, I expect some ups and downs and about 92 pts from this roster. If the goalies can keep things together, and if Parayko and partner can get back to a positive goal differential, they could sneak into the playoffs but I'm not confident that this team can leapfrog enough teams in the west.
