IMO dumping Myers PB would be a waste.

I completely agree. Myers is a useful 3rd pairing d-man who can play a physical game. Nobody would have a problem with him if he was paid $1.5M/year vs $6M. Once that bonus is paid, he becomes a cap hit of $6M for the actual cost of $1M, which is a good number for financially poorer teams like SJ or AZ who want to make the cap floor on paper, but not in real money. I don't believe there will be a need to include picks to dump him. Worst case scenario, keep him to the TDL, retain 50% on the cap hit, and get a 3rd or 4th round pick for him.

What team has taken on $6 mil aav for that in the past to make you think this would actually work?

Eh. I just don’t know why we do this. It’s not bad value by any means but Rathbone ain’t seeing the ice unless we move Marty. It’s too much future for a team looking to keep winning

So a first, a second and Rathbone for a third line center??
