Gibson underrated? He's the most overrated goalie in the league!

Just my personal opinion. I could be wrong but I think that he is underrated

Nuge is way too overrated, and not underrated and how is Andersson and Pulock overrated and yet Morgan Rielly is isn't?

His stats are atrocious and his advanced stats are worse. Of the three goalies that played for the Ducks this year, he was by far the worst by GSAx

I'd say Jalen Chatfield is definitely underrated... might be a homer opinion though

His advanced stats say the opposite. Three goalies on the Ducks, two of them were around 0 GSAx/60, and Gibson was firmly in the negative.

Gibson also played the most out of the three goalies, has played years and years on bad Ducks teams, and generally get's the harder starts

Nuge had 104 points last year man. Even your boy Willy Ny had 87. Nuge had 17 more points than Nylander...

Without being talked about much, not sure how that makes you overrated

What does it matter that he played the most? He was the worst per 60, and hasn't been above 0 GSAx in years. GSAx corrects for quality of team and quality of competition.

Hopkins primarily relies on PP (80% is from PP, making him a PP merchant), Nylander is way less so (roughly 60% is from the PP)

To cap it all off, Nuge isn't going to be hitting 100 points again unless the Oilers get bailed with the amount of PPs and the quality of the Pacific division remains s**t

He's a big part of the reason they're a bad team. He has been playing poorly since 2018, their roster wasn't much different than 2017-18. And even in 17-18 his backup had better stats.

Overrated.

Nuge has always been a powerplay witch, no question. But I think you should know that the Pacific was the only division with four 100 point teams last year including the Stanley Cup winner, they aren't the worst division by a long stretch.

He's not had an 80 points on the power play season before, the Oilers also haven't finished top 5 in the league for power play opportunities before either...

Those 4 teams would have been middle of the pack in the Atlantic... Just because they got to beat up on Anaheim, San Jose, Arizona and Chicago to inflate their stats, doesn't mean they are 100 point caliber teams in other divisions

To add, people were saying that the Nuge and Hyman were better than Matthews... how is that not overrating the Nuge and Hyman?

I know AZ and CHI is in the Central, but the Pacific division still play the Central division the second most bc they are still in the same conference... And I was also leaving out the Canucks (who only has as many points as they did bc teams that were a lock on playoffs were resting guys
