UPL truly up for trades or no? i feel like he should have more value than that but maybe i’m too removed from the sabers to know

I don't rly have an idea of what Adams is thinking about doing regarding goaltending but UPL is a polarizing figure in the fanbase. Some think he'll improve a lot with a better defense in front of him, and that he has lots of room to grow. Others are less optimistic and point to the fact that he was outplayed by a 41 year old and has bizzare tendencies to give up goals from shots kinda far up the zone. I find myself in the latter category. 3.61 GAA and .891 SVP simply are not good enough, even while factoring in the poor team defense. Could he still develop? Maybe. But I don't really want to be the team to figure out whether he will or won't. Playoff drought needs to be broken and there's no need to take an unnecessary risk on him as a back up goalie.

I agree on UPL, defense wasn’t great, but with our scoring we should’ve been in and goaltending was an issue. If we don’t make the playoffs this year because we didn’t get a decent vet, not good.

Agreed. We're a playoff team, and pretty comfortably (by 4-5 points) with even league average goaltending last year. Missing last year sucked but we still exceeded expectations so it's not too bad. If it happens again this season bc of Adams' complacency in net, it will no longer be acceptable

You can get similar performance on the market for half the price. His contract is more of a dump than anything

Brodie is the Leafs most reliable defenceman defensively and is a good skater too. Would rather include him in a bigger deal for Pesce or Larsson
