No reason for LA to do that and it's not even close to fair value, and that's overasking for Girard even if MTL might overpay for a French Canadian. That's basically a prospect who still has the 1st round level tag, a 2nd and a 3rd. Arguably the best comparable is Hronek. 1st and 2nd for Hronek and a 4th. So Guhle and 2nd maybe with the Avs adding a 4th.

Girard has a lot of offensive upside but lacks size and leaves a lot to be desired on defence.
Guhle is a solid dman with size and still has 2 years on his ELC.
MTL doesn’t do a straight up swap let alone add a 2nd and a 3rd.
