Any chance Owen or Svejkovsky could be swapped out for Blomqvist? We need a future starter more than anything. Otherwise I’m ok with this on the sharks side.

Yes. Pickering would have more value though. Blomqvist instead of Pickering is good on our end.

CBJ need goaltending depth, but it’s going to need to be someone who is willing to play in the AHL for most, if not all, of the season. Elvis and Tarry, for better or for worse, are the starters.

Also, you’re nearly $2M over the cap?

I think these are some good ideas. Still think our 3rd line would need fixed, but could address that after. Karlsson is the priority

Agreed. Third line was is the issue. May have to be addressed via a Rutta trade, Carter LTIR or talked into retirement - or next year when he comes off the books.

Got it. His salary is still a bit high to bury in the AHL, and I could see someone claiming him on waivers, so I'm still kind of skeptical.

And sorry - didn't notice the retention note. You can add retention when you make trades in ACGMs.

Agreed on his Salary, but if the need depth and a competent back up - he’s solid. And lots of teams going to a 3 goalie system. Aka Vegas

I think Rutta trade is most realistic option. Ideally Carter, but Rutta more plausible. I feel like Ruhwedle can do what Rutta does but for much less.
