This would be a great trade for the Leafs, but I think they would need to add more to get Miller and Lafreniere. Its hard to imagine the Ranges moving Miller.

Lili would have get added to even this out Abit more...but its an interesting idea. Mainly steming off of a Nylander for Miller kind of package.

Nylander's playing style would mesh well with the rangers and the rangers don't have room for/can't pay Miller. Rangers also don't know if they want to resign Laf or if he'd want to resign with them.

I thought of this deal last night... I heard NYR were "quietly shopping" Lafreniere, and I don't think they're looking to sell him, but looking to use him in a buy. I entertained trying to get Nylander if other options (Matthews, or players we might not know about) aren't available.

This would only be a framework and entirely contingent on whether or not the Leafs can free up the cap space. Miller might be looking at 4+, that's the hitch. Laffy can probably be bridged at 1*3 or 2*4.5 or whatever.

This would work quite well for both teams. The rangers also have to sign Kakko, and they're already pretty strong on D, so trading these prospects to get a top line right winger might help them push for the cup. Getting the cap to work will be tricky though. And Toronto might need to change that 3rd for either robertson or liljigren.
