Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Murphy to EDM is inspired by mixing the core ideas of two trades around number 1 the McCabe to Toronto deal and number 2 the Ekholm to EDM deal. Since Murphy > McCabe BUT Ekholm > Murphy the trade needs to hit that sweet middle spot. Both trades include a first and second round pick to the selling team so that is a given here. IMO the debate starts over what quality of prospect they get back as well as what cap considerations of taking on Ceci is worth in that context due to Chicagos retention.

I think both of these proposals are reasonable for the Hawks, not sure how the other teams fans will feel.

My only concern is the retention for Murphy since he still has three seasons remaining on his contract. Almost wonder if it could get done by removing the 2nd pick coming to Chicago and the retention for Murphy.

I think that might be the case, but Murphy is competitive and wants to play in the playoffs.
