Flyers decline. A late 1st, an always hurt prospect, and an old defenseman is a laughable offer for Tk. Flyers have no need for Brodie, reportedly don’t have any interest in Robertson anymore, and the 2024 1st is in a weaker draft than last year. This isn’t even close

Doesn’t matter that they have no need for him. They’re taking the salary for the Leafs for 1 year of Brodie. Philly isn’t contending any time soon and needs youth/futures. Add a 2nd rounder and Philly takes it. Maybe a different prospect, which would also be fine with TO. TK is really good. He’s not great. Don’t inflate his value because you’re a fan.

TKs value is inflated because he is their best player on a good contract and is in his prime. The coach loves him and they don’t NEED to trade him so thats why the price is high. Its not like he’s asking out either.

TK is worth waaay more than that. Point per game player on one of the worst teams and an extremely valuable contract. Philly gains nothing from one year of Brodie, a late 1st and a 4th liner prospect.
