Both of those trades are terrible for Buffalo. The Sabres already got the good goaltender out of Florida anyway.

I'd rather see the deal with Arizona focus on Vejmelka and a 2nd rounder for Olofsson, Bryson and UPL; keep their 1st rounder; then let Kulich, Savoie or Rousek show if they can fill the gap created from Quinn's injury.

4000+ comments and zero created teams in over a year. Give it a try since you never have anything nice to say

Keller to Buffalo is my dream that will never die. I’m also sure he played for Granato which makes it actually realistic.

Never have anything nice to say? Have you really read all of my posts? To be honest I would be worried if you have. As much as I like Clayton Keller giving up Kulich to get him would be a mistake, and I think everyone else knows that but you (but only because you see fit to give him away here). I also don’t know how smart it would be to add another $7 million contract to the roster when Dahlin and Power have not signed extensions yet. Like it or not Skinner is not going anywhere yet. Keller as a replacement for Skinner makes sense, but he’s not going anywhere.

I did the 24-25 season and everything was fine.

Do we really think kulich will be better than Keller? I kept several high end prospects who make the team the following year. Keller is the same age as Tage and younger than tuch. He fits perfectly.

Trying to find a spot for every prospect leads to running out of room and we don't even know if they will make it.

I understand that proven talent is worth more than unproven talent. But I also believe that Keller’s numbers come from being “the guy” in Arizona with no competition. They don’t have any other goal scorers. Buffalo already has Thompson, Cozens, Tuch, and Skinner, all with 30 goals or more. Even as “the guy” in Arizona Keller is only matching what Skinner is putting up right now. Keller is younger and less expensive than Skinner, and pretty much inarguably still a better player overall. But with all the offense Buffalo already has, feeding a guy like that in addition, is going to take opportunities away from other people.

Personally, I think we need to hang onto the young talent for now, especially since as some of the older players leave we need cheap replacements. Considering the Kulich was not available in other big trades we pursued I doubt that’s going to change if Keller is in the conversation.
