Description
I’m assuming an injury to Fabbri fairly early on (nothing against him, he was just dealt a bad pair of knees). Move chiarot out. Veleno seems destined to be an extra bottom six center in Detroit. Throw in those two and Bostons 2024 1st. Sign debrincat to a “meet me in the middle” deal. Call up Edvinsson. I like Mazur a lot, and Kasper is on the up and up. Unfortunately we brought in another 746 middle/bottom six guys in the last 2 years. Ideally, we’d move someone out (I know we won’t, because we’ve just signed them all) to make room for the young guys to grow into roles. There’s no point in bringing them up to play 4th line minutes. Hopefully we can move some things around and utilize the “extra” middle six guys to actually improve. If you continue to put a mediocre product on the payroll, you shall continue to receive a mediocre product on the ice. Please don’t hate me, these are just my thoughts. Additionally, when you have the flexibility, it’s a great time to extend Raymond and Seider. Any thoughts on what those numbers look like?

OTT is like Detroit with LHD, they don’t need them, especially not Chiarot. His value to them is on the negative side, and Veleno is close to nothing for them. Losing a W, they would want a wing plus more.

No reason for OTT to want either Fabbri or Chiarot, let alone both of them $8.7M, at that point we just give that money to DeBrincat

I think it'll be one of the 2024 1sts the Wings have with some conditions on it and Kubalik for Debrincat.

Who said anything about OTT wanting Fabbri? He will most likely be hurt I said, not added in to the trade. And Ottawa wouldn’t turn around and give the money to Debrincat, he refused to sign there lol. Anyways, my idea wasn’t specifically Chiarot and his awful cap hit, it was more of wishful thinking that we have too many guys who aren’t worth a whole lot and it’d be nice to move a couple out and give the kids the keys to the castle.

I don’t disagree, it would be nice to utilize any bit of trade capital we have in order to get better. It’s frustrating to see us get a bunch of picks between 5-10 every year and then the dudes don’t get a chance to play because we have too many the Copps and the Holls and the Lindstroms and the Fabbris
