Nylander is an 80 point winger..... last time I checked Nashville could use one of those outside of Forsberg.

Tomasino has potential sure. But currently he is not an 80 point winger. Not sure he will be. 60 I can see. PPG? I dunno.

Saros: world class. But then there is Askarov who is what 2 years out? And in terms of prospect goaltenders, I rank him with Wolf.

Samsonov: can be signed to bridge the gap to get to Askarov. Had a fine regular season, and the way Trotz has constructed the blueline will benefit from better defensive play.

The Leafs maybe a draft pick short. And that might be a 3rd. Not sure I call it a non-starter. The logic behind it has some merit.

Biggest issue is that Nylander wants 10m. I wouldn’t want anything to do with a 75-85pt winger in that price range

I think the reason he wants that is he knows Matthews is gonna maybe get 13-14M and Marner is going to get 11-12M and he doesnt think hes worth 3-5M less than them. If he goes to Nashville I could see them getting him at 8.5-9m since the taxes are lower and they dont have the ridiculous internal cap structure Toronto has. But then again I dont know what hes thinking, but I just have a hard time seeing any team give him 10M+ outside of Toronto.

If you go way back, I had the same issues with Marner. If that is the demand, I wish him the best.
