I think Klingberg will play with Rielly, just to be unleashed with the Leafs in the offensive end.

I was expecting more. Kilingberg for me isn't the answer. Simply another D that can't move bodies.

And as it sits, more of the same up front. Reaves is a nasty piece of business, but that simply isn't enough.

So unless Treliving has something up his sleeve, I give this July 1 a grade of D.

This team just gets run over in the playoffs..... again.

Rielly + Brodie is such a good pairing. Not sure why they started messing with it at the end of last year.

Looks good. Numbers seem right. I expect more work on D.

Fair! I was hoping to keep Schenn (although the contract he signed was too much) AND get another physical dman.

Still not happy we traded Sandin. He has that physical aspect as well.

This D corp only has 1 physical guy in McCabe. In the playoffs we had Schenn also.

We will see what Trellieving does.

My therapist told my to box out the Sandin deal and pretend it didn't happen🤣

Not sure what is next, but if I am a betting man, I think it may involve Brodie. Klingberg with McCabe can work, but Liligrean doesn't deserve to be a 3rd pairing option at this point either.

Further, there isn't a lot of money left to fill out the LW. Brodie's contract may free that up. Use part of the money to get a physical D (if there are any left!), or flip him for a gritty 3rd liner.

There are options, but I would say this is pretty boxed in now.
