Description
Handcuffed us to trash for 3 to 5 yrs

We’re gonna suck and not make the playoffs for at least 3-4 years

To make things worse we have nothing to throw at the trade deadline that will fetch us 1sts and top prospects lmao why give duchene 5 mill when you can give Compher 5 mill x 5

This team is going nowhere

Enjoy pretending we’re a playoff team and cry when we’re a lottery team again

I don't want them to be a playoff team....they're not a playoff team....

Everywhere I see leafs fans are laughing at the holl signing . He was a punching fan by leafs media and fans for a long time ... and please don’t bring up Larry Murphy guys nowhere close

I’ll respectfully disagree with you and expect wings fans to **** on that signing by the end of the year

Sports fans constantly over exaggerate and pick one or two players to rip on. They did the same with Engvall. They traded him and then the Islanders fans loveeedd Engvall. 3m x 7 years is bananas though. I can't justify that none sense.

Holl is solid and can comfortably play 20 minutes a night on a decent team. On a Stanley cup team, maybe you want him at 16 minutes a nigh. In both cases, 3.4m x 3 is reasonable for that.

I do agree with you that Detroit, as currently constructed, is not a playoff team and that they are too good to be a bottom 5 team.

My opinion is these signings make the team good... but not great...

when you are full on rebuilding shouldn't you be trying to build up a great team??

Having larkin - copp - compher down the middle puts a baracade for Kasper and Danielson to jump up. Unless someone is moved to the wing...

Holl for three years Matta for two more and Chiarot for 4 more years is a baracade for other d prospects trying to make the jump.

A top six of Berggren - Larkin - Raymond
Copp - Kasper - Compher is good but not a chance that is winning you a stanley cup

How is this building a great team though? Were nowhere near a playoff spot we’re handcuff to copp compher when the likes of Danielson kasper mazur soderblom aren’t far off

We’d been better off giving more $ and signing duchene and klingberg for a season and giving them tons of ice time to boost trade value for the deadline. Right now our bait is perron Sprong kubalik . We’ll be lucky to fetch a 2nd

Ya nevermind winning a cup were no where near a playoff spot and I predict copp will be bought our before his contract ends OR he’ll be a 5.6 4th line player

Again , disagree with the holl signing . Think today is full of bad moves

Might not be bottom 5 but we’ll be 6-10 . Should be a fun season for fans to watch and by fun I mean miserable

Man i was agreeing with you. I was saying this signings are the kind of thing that makes the team good not great. I don't think Copp Compher and Kasper second line wins you a stanley cup especially when larkin is a mid level first line center and Raymond is still unproven whether he's an elite player or just a good player.

I think they have lot's of good prospects and a good backend. But they have no high end lethal scoring threats. No matter who they go up against in their division the opposition will have a better high end scorer than Detroit.

I don’t even know if these signings make them a good team though short and longterm lol . Handcuffing kids from getting ice time by locking guys up longterm and not signing anyone we can flip at the deadline for more assets we can use to land high drafted players or use an acquired 1st at the deadline for roster help unless we part with current ones we have

Which I wouldn’t touch cause by the looks of it there’s a good chance bruins will be barely in or barely missing the playoffs I’d bergeron and krejci go. I know we’re not making the playoffs so I’d rather have seen zadina one last chance on the 3rd line over a Sprong who I know 100% wont be back.

Anyways not much to get excited about watching this season

That is laugh out loud funny. As if Yzerman is trying to win a cup with compher or copp….

Doesn’t mean you overpay on $ and term on 3rd line players when the young players are about to be knocking at the door. No way these fools play out their full contracts in detroit

I’ve looked at the roster plenty, still makes no sense. Maybe you should go read your romance novels
