I think anyone who is considered a “middle 6” guy should be brought in to the fold to relieve Jenners minutes and mentor Fantilli. So toews as a top line center in the short term wouldn’t be a bad option.

Totally agree. Babs plays his lines almost even. Almost to a fault. So getting another veteran center who can play 18 minutes a night along with Fantilli and Jenner would be the play. Is it a cup contender, absolutely not. But is it cheap against the cap and free Acquisition cost makes it an intriguing option. Even if not on a line as JH and marchy. Just having another center whi can fill the role anywhere in the top 9 would be benificial.
