This sort of depends on Jiri Kulich being ready for the NHL, he would slide into the 3C role behind Thompson and Cozens. Or Savoie, but more likely Kulich. The Sabres would get their right side D-man, a 2025 1st and long-term project prospect D-man Ryan Mast, giving up the recent 59 point scorer Mittelstadt, D-man Jokiharju and their 2023 3rd (from Lak).

Boston loses Carlo but gains DeMelo to replace him - little bit cheaper.. plus they trade the 1st and Mast, and get Scheifele. Overall value wise, Boston might win the deal versus the other two, not sure how to balance it better though.

Jets trade Scheifele, which they'll have to anyway, and DeMelo, and get the recent 59 point center Mittelstadt, who is more of a playmaker it seems (15 goals, 44 assists last year) and could slot in nicely alongside Connor and Vilardi on a line. They also get Jokiharju, good young D-man to replace DeMelo, and a 3rd round pick.

Please no. No more trading 1st round picks for Boston. Definitely not for short term fixes like Scheifele. How many years do you people want Boston to not be in the first round for!?
