I think CBJ fans could get on board with shedding Gudy’s contract, but take Bryson out of the deal. They’ve got plenty of guys on D just like him or better that they’re trying to move.

At first look this seems like a no brainer for CBJ but the reason is won't happen if the exact reason why buffalo would want him.
He's a horribly nasty player for forwards to play against, helps a locker room filled with young guys, and won't let his teammates get pushed around at all. He's just 2mil overpaid for what his skill level is but the jackets need his grit in the lineup, just playing more in the 15min TOI limit.
