The Backlund trade is good for both teams.

Despite his antics I think it's going to take a lot more then 3 million to sign Bunting. This is his one shot to get a big contract and he's coming off 2 seasons where he averaged mid 50's in points. Second line players (which is where you have him) typically make 4.5-5 million bucks.

My only gripes are that Bunting will get ~$5 million this offseason and that we could maybe get some retention on Backlund but it’s not a deal breaker. Pretty good roster though, I like bringing in young players.
