Seems like an overpay and a bad decision for caps. He’ll be 35 when an extension kicks in, right? When does his play fall off? How long of a deal does he want? Just ramp the package up and go after lindholm at this point.

This is the exact move the Caps should not be making. It’s time to develop the kids and make good 1st round picks. Only way a package like this should be moved if it’s for a young stud
