I don't believe the Killorn rumors

If SJ is finally having a rebuild then tampa needs to find the middle players and take advantage. and SJ needs to shed cap and get RFA's in return to add value. with picks of course

If tampa fans say that's not enough for colton, then they clearly are just a fanboy of colton, which is fine but say that.

San Jose may need another middle pick to make the deal work, which is understandable but don't go crazy and say that it needs a 2nd or a 1st to get it done. come on

Really an overpay by SJ. Pretty easy no. Benning and Barbs are really high value contracts especially considering what Benny did last season. Barabanov would have had 50+ points on a very bad team if not for injury. Yeah, this is not good for SJ at all.

Tampa doesn't need Benning with the RD situation they now have. If they were targeting a dman from S.J., it would probabaly be Simek with retention. Maybe Colton+adds for Barabanov, Lorentz and Simek retained, if Tampa could make the cap work. Even then though, Barabanov would, in essence, be a 1 year rental for Tampa, as even with the supposed cap increase next year, Tampa wouldn't have enough to re-sign all 3 of Barabanov, Hagel and Stamkos.

Colton is a solid third liner. That isn’t getting a rock solid RHD on a great contract, a middle six RW on a great contract and a super solid 4C again, on a great contract. Simply not enough value. If I am being honest, it isn’t even close.

Colton is better than barbashev, only reason he is a top six foward is because he’s on the sharks. Only reason colton is a 3rd line winger is because he is on Tampa. I agree you should be getting more value but it’s not as crazy as you make it seem
