But if it's not Timmins, some other player will probably get plucked by Dubas. I can see a trade between Pittsburgh and the Leafs involving one of his former reclamation projects. Dubas loves his guys. Get familiar with former Soo greyhounds. Expect Dubas to sign Bunting and Bjugstad in free agency.

Douglas is the guy Dubas traded for Timmins. All GMs have “their guys.” Every single one. Witness Jeff Carter’s awful deal the Pens are presently saddled with because he’s Hextall’s guy.
