Not sure on the value of either trades. Sharangovich particularly difficult to make work given the lack of B/C level assets the Avs have to work with. I know there will be some comments that the return for Lindholm isn't enough but given a contract extension might be difficult I think it's a fair return for one season. If you can't make this work, call Winnipeg and see if those sorts of assets can get you one of their 2Cs.

Went short on Byram, gambling that he doesn't price himself out to try to get a better sense of where he's at. It's a risk to not make the Toews/Byram decision right now but I think it might be the strongest option right now. Use those cost controlled assets to make a run here. If healthy rotate the Johnsons so you always have a fresh one.

Great depth at C and a top D core in the NHL. Those, along with the 3 superstars and stellar goaltending, could bring the avs back to the top of the mountain.
