Why? Elvis has 150gp with a 0.906sp and a 5.4m cap hit compared to Campbell's 175gp with a 0.911sp. Elvis is two years younger, but at 29 and 31, they both should be in their prime as goaltenders.

I can't argue that, they have been terrible. That said, Campbell went 0.961sp in the playoffs. Ekholm was a great add for Edmonton, I wouldn't be shocked at a bounce back campaign for Campbell.

That offer for Pesce is very weak even without retention. Canes aren’t going to just gift him to you and retain to help with your salary crunch. It’s going to hurt to get him. Rather just keep him as their own rental even if they can’t extend him if that’s the best offer.
