It's the KK move... You offer him a super high 1-year offer sheet so that Arizona doesn't match and then you negotiate a more reasonable deal the next off-season when you hold his RFA rights.

I have a feeling many of those ACGMs involved selling off DeBrincat for pennies on the dollar.

Ottawa will give you DeBrincat for Teuvo + Canes' 2024 1st + Flyers' 2024 2nd.

That's assuming no extension for Teuvo.

He's a power forward who's only had two years in the league... He still has room to grow. The profile from his draft class basically says that he has all of the tools of a top-line center. He reminds me a lot of Tom Wilson in his play style.

that is meaningless. If Cat isnt traded before arbitration and signed to a mult year deal, his value tanks hard.

Arbitration hearing doesn't take place until August or early September.

Cat is more likely to be traded at the draft next week.
